Taken off a Starbucks cup:
"Baking may be regarded as a science, but it's the chemistry between the ingredients and the cook that gives desserts life. Baking is done out of love, to share with family and friends, to see them smile."
-Anna Olson, chef and hostess of the all-dessert show "Sugar" on Food Network Canada

Couldn't agree more.

Thought for the day:
"If my life is for rent,
And I don't learn to buy,
I deserve nothing more than I get
Cause nothing I have is truly mine."
-Dido, Life for Rent

I started listening to this album about a year and a half ago, while I was still working at Starbucks, and realized that I was renting my life out for $7.78 an hour, and hating every second of it. So I shuffled a few things around, and now I feel like I'm getting paid to own my life. There's nothing quite like doing exactly what you want to do. :) I seriously am more happy now than I think I've ever been before; almost everything that I have in my life right now is just what I want. And that's pretty great.
