So I never thought that I'd be saying this, but I'm absolutely in love with my little baby tortoise. He's the cutest little guy EVER. He's not quite a year old, and fits easily in the palm of your hand (it will take him about 5 years to be the size of a hamburger, and about 30 to be the size of a dinner plate). When Jamie decided to get him, I thought he'd be Jamie's pet, but now... I could sit and watch him all day. We've been taking him outside to play in the afternoons, and he's so little that he can't even push the grass on the lawn down all the way, so he sort of swims through it. He's gotten used to us holding him, so now when I pick him up he'll usually push his head against my finger so I'll pet him. And when he eats, he sticks out his little tortoise tongue. He'll chew and chew, and then after he swallows, he does this big sigh before he takes another bite, like it's such an effort to eat. :)
