Not that I'm a big hiphop fan, but I think the Kanye West/Jamie Foxx song "Gold Digger" is worth mentioning. It's a fabulous funky modern version of counterpoint, and I'd recommend listening to it at least once just for it's musical quality. And if you can catch the video, that doesn't hurt either. :)
